<\/figure>\n\n\n\nPitsford School<\/a> has had an online station for years, I like this one. Select the gauges<\/strong>, from menu near bottom of their page. As well as dials showing various things, it shows trend graphs if you hover over any of the dials\/gauges. In the case of the wind gauge, it also gives a ten-minute summary that includes average wind and max wind gusts. You select to view the weather gauges from the red text links below the tabulated data or from the Live Weather link in the main menu. There are other links there to play with as well. Units can be set below the last dial (cloud base indicator). And it gives an estimate of cloud base too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then there’s the Wunderground<\/a> a.k.a. Weather Underground. You have to zoom in on the map and move it around a bit to get to the area that matters, then click on the little wind indicators, each of which takes you to that particular station’s data. It seems to use your ISP’s local server location to centre it on your current location. Note that the name given on the actual station page is sometimes not that of the nearest town, but each one shows the local map, which you can zoom in or out if necessary. Temperatures are in degrees F with wind speed in mph, you can switch to degrees Centigrade using the settings wheel in the header bars, next to the Log in \/ Join options, and wind speed also then changes to kph. For total control of settings, you have to sign up.
